How is this different from Super-Resolution?
Super-Resolution processes the whole image and helps with anything. Face Restoration focuses specifically on faces, recovering far more facial detail, but doesn't pay special attention to the background.
Can it restore multiple faces in one photo?
Yes — AI detects every face in the photo and restores them one by one.
Can it fix a face that's severely blurred or damaged?
You can try, but results depend on how much detail remains. If a face is only a few pixels wide, AI has little information to work from and may change the person's appearance.
Does my photo get uploaded to the cloud?
Your photo is uploaded for AI processing. Cloud copies are usually cleared after about 7 days. A result saved to your local library remains in that browser unless it is deleted or the browser clears its data.
Can it fix a blurry face in an old or low-resolution phone photo?
Yes, that is its core job. It targets faces specifically and rebuilds detail in eyes, skin, and hair lost to blur or low resolution. Results are strongest when the face takes up a reasonable area of the frame. A face that is only a handful of pixels has too little detail to recover.
Does face restoration change what the person looks like?
It can. The model reconstructs facial details, and on a heavily blurred or damaged face it may change the person's appearance. Compare the result with the original, especially before sharing a family or historical photo.
