How is this different from Super-Resolution?
Super-Resolution processes the whole image and helps with anything. Face Restoration focuses specifically on faces, recovering far more facial detail, but doesn't pay special attention to the background.
Can it restore multiple faces in one photo?
Yes — AI detects every face in the photo and restores them one by one.
Can it fix a face that's severely blurred or damaged?
Worth a try — AI tends to shine on heavily degraded faces. But if the original face is only a handful of pixels, recovery will be limited.
Does my photo get uploaded to the cloud?
Photos are temporarily uploaded for AI processing. Results stay available for about 7 days, then are auto-deleted — your local library always keeps a copy.
Can it fix a blurry face in an old or low-resolution phone photo?
Yes, that is its core job. It targets faces specifically and rebuilds detail in eyes, skin, and hair lost to blur or low resolution. Results are strongest when the face takes up a reasonable area of the frame. A face that is only a handful of pixels has too little detail to recover.
Does face restoration change what the person looks like?
It aims to recover existing features rather than invent a new face, so the person stays recognizable. On severely degraded faces with very little detail left, the reconstruction becomes more of an educated guess. Your original always stays untouched in your library, so you can compare the two side by side.
