Privacy Policy

1. Core Principles

MomentSift is built around keeping your originals local and transmitting as little data as possible. Culling happens in two stages: basic detection runs entirely in your browser and uploads nothing; AI analysis (scene grouping, aesthetic scoring, face recognition) only uploads a compressed preview image, which is discarded immediately after processing and never stored on any server. Your full-resolution originals always stay on your local device.

Manual comparison culling, library management, and export all happen locally in your browser and involve no uploads.

2. What We Collect

To provide account, payment, and AI processing features, we may collect the following information:

• Account information, such as your email address, login state, and basic account profile
• Photos, preview images, and reference images you choose to upload for AI Enhancement, AI Image-to-Image, cloud analysis, or other cloud features
• Text prompts and parameters you enter for features like AI Text-to-Image and AI Image-to-Image
• Subscription, credit balance, credit usage, top-up, refund, and order records
• Necessary technical logs, such as request timestamps, error messages, and basic device/browser information, used for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting

3. Local Storage

Your curated library, culling results, thumbnail cache, preferences, export state, and AI enhancement/generation results successfully saved to your library are stored primarily in your browser's local storage, IndexedDB, or OPFS. This content is generally only visible on your current device and current browser.

Library content isn't subject to any cloud download-link expiration — you can keep viewing and downloading it until you delete it yourself, clear your library, clear your browser's site data, or the browser evicts local data due to storage pressure. Switching browsers, devices, or using private/incognito mode may also make your existing local library inaccessible.

If you download, export, or clear your library, that only affects data inside your browser — it never deletes the original files on your hard drive or in your photo album.

4. AI Service Data Processing

When you use AI Enhancement, AI Text-to-Image, AI Image-to-Image, or similar features, the relevant content may be sent to necessary third-party AI service providers for processing.

The compressed preview images uploaded for culling analysis are discarded immediately after inference and never written to persistent storage. Files and results uploaded for AI Enhancement, Text-to-Image, and similar features are typically cleared by the system after 7 days; job records may be kept longer to support refunds for failed jobs, troubleshooting, and other necessary obligations. Results successfully saved to your local library aren't subject to any cloud link expiration.

Please don't enter sensitive personal information — ID numbers, bank card numbers, home addresses, medical information, and the like — in your prompts, and don't upload photos containing other people's private information without their authorization.

5. Third-Party Services

MomentSift relies on necessary third-party services to operate the product, such as account authentication, data storage, website hosting, payment processing, email delivery, security protection, and AI processing services.

These providers only process the data necessary to deliver their respective functions, and are bound by their own terms of service and privacy policies.

6. Payments and Billing

Subscription and credit pack payments are processed by third-party payment providers. MomentSift does not store full card numbers or full payment credentials. We keep order numbers, payment status, subscription status, credit changes, and refund records associated with your account for fulfillment, customer support, reconciliation, and fraud prevention.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share necessary data in the following situations: transmitting data to service providers in order to deliver a feature you requested; to handle payment, account, security, or customer support issues; to comply with laws, court orders, or lawful requests from government authorities; or when you've given explicit authorization.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain necessary data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations. Files and outputs from cloud AI jobs are typically cleared automatically after 7 days; copies already saved to your local library are kept locally by your browser. Payment, billing, and risk-control records may be retained longer for accounting, tax, dispute resolution, and compliance purposes.

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by email. We'll process your request within a reasonable time, though data we're required to retain for legal, financial, security, or dispute-resolution reasons may not be deletable immediately.

9. Children

MomentSift is not intended for children under the age of 13. If your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age, please only use this service once you've reached the legal age where you live. Minors should use this service with a guardian's consent and guidance.
