Which directions does it support?
You can extend left, right, up, or down individually, or expand evenly in all directions (1.5x or 2x), or reshape the photo into a square.
Is the extended content AI-generated?
Yes — the new area is generated by AI based on the original photo's color tone, style, and content, aiming for a seamless match. Results vary by scene, with skies and natural landscapes extending especially well.
Can it turn a landscape photo into a portrait one?
Outpainting extends outward rather than cropping. To turn a wide photo into a tall one, choose "extend up" or "extend down" to add content there.
Is there a size limit?
We recommend keeping uploads under 2048×2048. The output grows accordingly, and larger images take a bit longer to process.
Can I expand a photo into a wider or square frame for social media?
Yes. Choose extend left, right, up, or down, zoom out 1.5x or 2x evenly, or reshape to a square, and AI generates matching content in the new area. It is useful for fitting a tight crop into a wider banner or a square post without cutting off the subject.
