Photo Culling Software for Windows: A Browser-Based Route
Have a Windows folder full of camera or family photos? MomentSift lets you review a batch in desktop Chrome or Edge, confirm the keepers, and export without installing a native Windows culling app.

Turn one Windows photo folder into a checked shortlist, while leaving the source files on your drive. This is a browser workflow, not a downloadable Windows program or a full RAW editor.
How it works
- 01
Gather one folder in File Explorer
Copy the batch you want to review from a camera card, phone export, or drive into a known folder. Keep the card or an untouched backup until you have checked the final selection.
- 02
Open a desktop browser and test the format
Use current desktop Chrome or Edge. Start with a few JPEG, HEIC, or supported RAW files from your camera before importing hundreds. Large RAW batches depend on browser memory and local storage, so a smaller review set may be easier.
- 03
Review the suggestions, then choose
MomentSift groups similar shots and flags possible blur, closed eyes, or exposure problems. Compare the candidates yourself, including any image that matters despite a technical flaw.
- 04
Export and verify the handoff
Export selected originals to a ZIP or local folder. If you use Lightroom Classic, test optional XMP ratings with a small sample in your own setup. Check filenames, file availability, and the destination before treating the job as finished.
Good for
- A one-off travel, family, portrait, or event folder on a Windows desktop.
- A browser first pass before editing selected files in another tool.
- People who want to review AI flags but keep control of the final choice.
Not the right fit if
- A native Windows application with an offline-only workflow.
- Full RAW development, catalog management, or automatic transfer of Lightroom edits.
- Deleting source photos without a separate backup and review.
